Back on the Road

Having sufficient time to recover from Cuba (see tlmcuba.blogspot.com) it seemed time to go back on the road before my tax busy season really hits.  Our regular travel group out of NYC (Ira Block, photography gura and Liza Politi, travel organizer extraordinaire) are hosting a trip through Cambodia and Laos.  We had visited Cambodia (Siem Reap to be exact) in 2011 and were anxious to see how it has changed (and how it hasn't).  Laos would be a new experience for us and I have to admit to being excited about staying in one of the food epicenters in this part of the world.

These journeys are long and not cheap, so we decided to take a little extra time to visit another bucket list destination, Bangkok, on the way to the workshop.  I don't know how many of you have heard "One Night in Bangkok" by Murray Head (from the play Chess), but it stoked an interest in me to visit this crazy place where a "hard man becomes humble".

So sit back and enjoy our adventure with us to these developing nations and hopefully we'll all learn a little something along the way.  In the meantime, please check out some of my other travel blogs (tlmmongolia.blogspot.com, tlmburma.blogspot.com, tlmiceland.blogspot.com).  See you on the other side.
